Transport policy

In essence, transport policy focuses on the regulatory frameworks that affect the use and various forms of transport, not limited to road transport. ACIM believes that Malta requires an effective and sustainable transport policy that is built around three main pillars; contributing to economic development; enhancing social welfare and achieving environmental sustainability.

In the Maltese scenario, cars play a central role in the transport mix and therefore regulation must be directed towards having environmental friendly cars on the road coupled with a modern road network. Transport modes need to be seen as complementary and therefore investment in other modes of transport are always welcome.
